Who is responsible

Booking

The booking calendar is provided by iGMS, the booking system we use. It only loads when you scroll down to it. If you check available dates or book, iGMS and its payment provider process the details you enter (name, contact details, dates and payment). We use them to arrange your stay and for our accounts.

Guest registration in Spain

Spanish law requires us to register every guest aged 14 or older with the Spanish authorities (Registro de Viajeros). This is done through a separate form you receive after booking. The data is deleted once the registration is made, and no later than six months after your stay.

The contact form

The form sends your name, email, phone (if you fill it in) and your message to us through the Web3Forms service, which forwards it as an email. We only use the information to reply to you, and delete it when it is no longer needed for the booking or our accounts.

The newsletter

If you sign up, we store your name, email and language with Brevo, which sends the newsletter for us. We only send a few emails a year, and you can unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of every email.

Chat

The chat on the site is provided by tawk.to. It loads after a few seconds, or as soon as you start using the page. Once loaded, tawk.to stores cookies in your browser so it can recognise you and show the conversation if you come back. If you write in the chat, the conversation is stored by tawk.to so we can reply to you.

Video and map

The preview image of the videos is loaded from YouTube (Google) when the page is shown, so Google sees your IP address. The video itself only loads when you click it, and then from youtube-nocookie.com. The Google map only loads when you click it.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Netlify. Like every web server, Netlify records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, for operation and security.

Cookies and tracking

The website itself sets no cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any other tool that tracks you, and no advertising. Only the chat and the booking calendar can store something in your browser, once they have loaded.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you – just get in touch. If you think we process data in breach of the rules, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (opens in new tab).
